Market Harborough Online is a community based website providing information about the market town and its surrounding villages. This is the last year of operation for this Community Portal and we are now making alternative arrangements to ensure that as much content as possible is being transferred elsewhere.

As part of a review of local community web sites it has been decided to redirect information on our communities to the Leicestershire Villages web site - which can be found at www.leicestershirevillages.com/harborough On this site you can publicise local events, news, access notice boards, picture galleries and participate in the discussion forums. Young people can also access information at ‘The Jitty’ web site at www.thejitty.com

To access information on Parish Councils and Parish Meetings you can now view this by visiting the Leicestershire Parish Councils web site at: www.leicestershireparishcouncils.org/harborough

District Council Services will continue to be provided from www.harborough.gov.uk and County Council services from www.leics.gov.uk. A new Web Site will be launched for the District Council on 27th May including an enhanced area for local tourism complete with a ‘what’s on’ diary. Direct.Gov remains the national web site for all public services. www.direct.gov.uk

There are two ways in which you can search for job vacancies held by the local Jobcentre Plus. The first is using the Jobcentre Plus job search facility through www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk and the second via Direct.Gov. Both sites access the same vacancies but offer different search criteria, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

For those who want to get involved in local matters and ‘have your say’ on how services are being delivered then please use the site for Community Forums within Harborough district. This can be accessed at www.leicestershireforums.org/harborough.
