HARDY PLANT SOCIETY ( RUTLAND GROUP)
Welcome to the HPS Rutland Group Website The Hardy Plant Society was formed to foster interest in hardy herbaceous plants on the widest possible scale. It aims to give its members information about the wealth of both well and little known plants, and to ensure that all worthy plants remain in cultivation and have the widest possible distribution. Local area groups such as the Rutland Group promote these aims by organising regular meetings, events and talks to which non-members are also welcome. An interesting and informative “Newsletter” for Rutland Group members is published twice a year, in April and December. It is free, and is posted to those who cannot collect it at the relevant meeting. It is in the form of an A5 booklet and contains news and views together with announcements of forthcoming events, garden visits, gardens open, and the meeting programme for the year. The editor is Mary Slater who welcomes articles, news, tips, stories, poems, comment etc. to be considered for inclusion. Please contact her on molehill@clara.net The photograph on this page shows a group of our members on one of our outings days possibly sharing their views of the garden they are visiting.
